The National Liberation Front of America was a terrorist organization presumably formed as an insurgency against the despotic United States Government. Judging by it's name and the comments made by its sole on-screen member, it can be theorized to be a left-wing paramilitary organization conducting an armed insurgency against the government. Only one member of the faction is shown when she hijacks the president's plane.
On behalf of the "workers and all the oppressed," a member of the faction hijacked Air Force One in 1997, deeming President John Harker's administration to be imperialist and racist. The hijacker crashed the plane into the New York Maximum Security Penitentiary, killing everyone on-board except the President, who had been placed in a safety pod which had ejected from the aircraft.
